Bruce McClellan's passion for photography was ignited as a young man in the 1960s. That passion was fueled by his studies with master photographers Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design and J. Seeley at Wesleyan University from which Bruce graduated with B.A. in Art/Photography in 1975.

Then he hit the road...

He was inspired by the earliest photography of the American West as well as the work of Edward Weston, Robert Frank and Georgia O'Keefe, and set out to explore the world with his camera. Many of his images from those days appeared in prestigious photography magazines and shows.

Then, while Bruce was living in Hartford, CT, the Rose Gardens of Elizabeth Park provided him a deep source of inspiration.
The flower images captured on film there in the first rays of dawn reveal the magic of the fragile, fleeting forms filled with the living light of the sun.
American Photo Magazine honored Bruce with an award for his roses.
His thirty years of work in commercial printing and computer graphics have served to hone his technical skill as a photographer to sheer visual wizardry.
His cutting edge technique supports the full expression of his heart-centered sense of beauty.
